About The Team/role

The Credit Fraud Prevention team aims to guarantee and enable safe business for our customers. In addition to the pre-emptive process, we are always thinking about how to create an incredible experience with the least friction possible through technology!

In this role, you'll be...

  • Analyze large amounts of data to find patterns and generate insights to answer key questions;
  • Be responsible for preparing and extracting data, developing data pipelines or dashboards necessary for analysis;
  • Real-time monitoring of online risk policies and handling of abnormal problems, formulate and maintain the SOPs, and ensure the stability of online business;
  • Generation of fraud prevention strategies using decision trees;
  • Creation of fraud prevention rules, metrics and flows;
  • Establish identity verification (KYC) processes and strategy;
  • Identify and map new patterns of fraudulent activities and gaps in fraud detection systems and processes;
  • Map risks in new operations/products and generate fraud prevention strategies, forecasting financial and operational impacts;
  • Create/specify internal control reports (KPI) to analyze performance indicators;
  • Evaluate new technologies and select external fraud prevention suppliers/solutions, through technical evaluation, proof of concept and proof of value;
  • Develop policies and procedures for fraud prevention and detection operational teams;
  • Control the quality and results of solutions and services provided by internal and external partners, through performance reports, aiming to meet expected metrics;
  • Use new platforms to structure, manipulate and automate routine processes;
  • Transform data into information (dashboards and Ad hoc studies) that will support strategic decisions;
  • Ensure that the Credit areas are fully aligned with the Data Driven culture and initiatives that are being adopted/implemented in the bank;
  • Creation and maintenance of data flows using SQL for reporting;
  • Process improvement in conjunction with local Compliance, CX, Risk, Operations and Product teams;
  • Quantification of risks and results of anti-fraud projects in financial impact;
  • Responsible for generating and reporting on results achieved and project progress;

We're eager to be in touch because you have...

  • Fluent speaker with English and Portuguese.
  • 2-4 years of experience with at least 2 years of experience in risk management industry, including anti-fraud, promotion abuse, anti-money laundering.
  • You have knowledge of SQL and Python.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence others.
  • Experience in working autonomously and prioritizing multiple goals. Someone who is able to design risk strategies and generate insights that could serve as recommendations for other teams.
