About Our Controllership Chapter:

We are producing reliable and traceable accounting and finance information, supporting the company’s growth through a robust, reliable and scalable process with a focus on data and analytics. We are responsible for bringing together all of Nubank’s financial data, monitoring it, making sure that everything is accounted for in our systems. We are also in charge of all the regulatory and financial reports, cash management and financial operations for Nubank. This position has the responsibility of maintaining and monitoring the correct functioning of the SPEI operation, guaranteeing that the elements and means that comprise it are in optimal condition.

Main Requirements:

- Monitoring of the connection to the Interbank Electronic Payment System (SPEI).

- SPEI certification and recertification (Banco de México).

- SPEI reconciliations: intraday, operational and accounting.

- Balance report according to the PCL (Contingency Plan) at established times and liquidation of the surplus investment instructed by Treasury.

- Manual and Controls Update.

- Supervision of the correct operation and settlement of transactions through the SPEI Dispatcher.

- Capture of transfers and returns to users and payers.

- Creation, analysis and delivery of reports related to the SPEI operation.

- External Audits, related to the SPEI operation.

- Definition and mapping of SPEI processes.

- Attention to requirements and communications required by the Compliance or Legal areas.

- Knowledge of the rules and regulations of the SPEI operation.

The SPEI Operator must validate that the settlement of transfer orders is carried out in a timely, efficient and secure manner through continuous access to information, execute the necessary actions to carry out the required reconciliations, document the processes and policies related to the operation, comprehensively manage all activities related to the operation.

*Interviewing and onboarding are currently done virtually due to COVID-19. Everyone new to the team and our current staff will remain working from home until it is safe to return to our offices. When it’s time, we will require a fixed cadence of visiting the office in which employees go to their Business Unit's (BU) base location.
