As the Team Business Partner to the Head of International External Affairs, and the External Affairs Team, your job will be to help the team work better and get things done more efficiently. Though you will be responsible for direct administrative support to the leadership of this team, this is not your typical administrative role. As a Team Business Partner, you will be a key point of contact and project manager to this critical team at DiDi. You will help to structure the team's operations, meeting cadence, information sharing, results reporting, and resource and budget allocation and tracking. You will help us plan amazing team building events and online activities around the world (once travel is possible), while also helping us build and maintain our team culture moments throughout the year. Basically, you will be a key planning and project delivery partner to a diverse and awesome team, with exposure to all of the exciting countries around the world that DiDi operates in.

About the team:

DiDi’s International External Affairs Team, currently spread across 18 countries and counting, is responsible for telling DiDi’s unique story to people and partners around the world, in a fast growing number of countries across an equally fast growing suite of products and services. As the world’s leading mobility and convenience platform, with upwards of 60 million trips and deliveries happening on our platform every day, DiDi helps more than 550 million people around the world get where they’re going, and the things that they need. It is our team's job to tell this story, to bring the infinitely complex nature of our business and our technology to life. We work across traditional and digital media, across the hyperlocal and the global, and we are constantly working to match our innovation in approach to that of our fast growing company.

  • Serve as an Executive Business Partner to the international communications and governmental affairs team, helping to coordinate team activities, internal events, and team operations across the many countries around the world our team is in
  • Help us better collaborate both within and across cross-functional teams across the company - managing our team meeting schedules and approach to internal collaboration
  • Support our efforts to efficiently coordinate our resource and budget allocation efforts across the team and countries, serving as a key partner in monitoring and managing some of our most important budgeting processes
  • Help us build processes and protocols around the way the team operates, some of the ways that we communicate between the team and share our best practices and, most importantly, the way we build a team culture that is all about connection and recognition… and a bit of fun :)
  • Serve as an administrative business partner to our head of international communications and governmental affairs as well as key members of the leadership team - helping to manage schedules, travel, expenses, vendors, among other needs
  • Generally help us do things better as a team, take on some of our most important team management projects, and serve as an integral member of a great team as we grow significantly in the months and years ahead

  • Kindness, curiosity and passion would also help a ton and fit in well with our team
  • Excellent English skills, and any other languages certainly a plus as we have teams around the world, but the work will mostly be in English
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 3-5 years of experience, perhaps providing administrative support to top executives, as an office or team manager, or another job that requires excellent organization and project management skills
  • Amazing organizational and multitasking skills, the ability to bring order to chaos and a keen eye for things that should be done but you've not been asked to do
  • Experience with other multinational companies, or working/living overseas is certainly a plus
  • Great computer skills across Google and Microsoft suites of work products, with focus on spreadsheet and numeric management aspects
  • Experience in event planning and cultural integration activities within company teams, or related, is desired
