DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote (U.S.) or Hybrid/In-Office in Fishers, Indiana
About the Role
We’re looking for a versatile DevOps Engineer who can also contribute meaningfully in another area of engineering.
This role will work across our AWS infrastructure, deployment pipelines, security and compliance practices, application stack, and increasingly our AI-powered engineering and operational workflows.
Responsibilities
DevOps & Infrastructure
Design, implement, maintain, and scale our AWS infrastructure, including EC2-based workloads
Monitor infrastructure and application performance and implement automated scaling and reliability improvements
Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code where appropriate
Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster-recovery processes
Own and coordinate security activities including penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, remediation tracking, and validation
Implement and maintain security best practices across environments
Support our SOC 2 and other security/compliance requirements
Maintain infrastructure documentation and compliance audit trails
Support deployment, scaling, monitoring, and observability of AI/LLM-backed services and workflows
Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability, developer experience, automation, security, and cost efficiency
Required Qualifications
DevOps
Strong hands-on AWS experience, including deploying, maintaining, and scaling production infrastructure
Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
Strong understanding of infrastructure and application security
Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and production troubleshooting
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Experience working with security or compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, or similar
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to independently organize and drive infrastructure and operational projects
Ability to travel for our bi-annual boardable days (all company meetings)
Preferred Qualifications
AWS certification such as Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or Developer
Strong Terraform or CloudFormation experience
Docker and/or Kubernetes experience
CloudWatch, ELK, Datadog, or similar monitoring and observability experience
Database administration and MySQL performance optimization experience
Experience with performance, load, or security testing
Experience working in a SaaS environment
Experience working in regulated or compliance-focused environments
Experience with data warehousing, ETL, data lakes, BI, or analytics infrastructure
Experience building or operating AI/LLM-backed systems
AI & Agentic Development
Experience with AI orchestration or agentic development is a significant plus, including:
LLM APIs such as Anthropic or OpenAI
Tool/function calling and MCP
Multi-step or multi-agent workflows
AI-assisted software development and testing
Automated test generation, bug reproduction, or triage
Monitoring, security, governance, and cost management for AI-powered systems
