About the Role
Our client is seeking experienced Class 1 Boom Truck Operators experienced in heavy industrial projects to join their Edmonton team.
Role Description
You will have the opportunity to operate a mobile boom truck, performing lifts for a variety of projects in the local area. You would be relied on to provide solutions to a wide range of lifts, from straightforward to highly complex, operating booms such as straight booms and articulating knuckle booms up to 80 tons. The team is currently growing, and in this position you would have the opportunity to pursue company-funded schooling, or more senior positions within the company.
Responsibilities
Drive mobile boom trucks to job sites, operate equipment according to project requirements and daily tasks
Conduct pre-trip safety and maintenance inspections on equipment
Attend toolbox and safety meetings as required
Prepare daily work and mobile boom to adhere to job safety requirements
Maintain equipment in good operating condition, report and/or log any maintain concerns or mechanical work needed
Communicate with project teams on site, utilizing radios, hand signals, and eye contract
Assist with general project tasks as needed
Skills and Requirements
Valid Class 1 driver's license, and active Journeyman Boom Truck or Mobile Crane ticket
Commitment to safety and maintenance standards
Ability to manage your own priorities, proactivity, and ability to follow directions
• Problem solving skills, ability to adapt quickly to changing situations
Reliability and punctuality
Positive attitude and attention to detail
Ability to work as a team and work collaboratively with other people
