Flare
Director, Worldwide Technology Alliances
Life is short. Work somewhere awesome.
Flare is a breakout cybersecurity Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company with a mission to empower organizations to take control of their data and protect their customers, employees and brand by shedding light on external threats. We enable cybersecurity teams to proactively detect high-risk external exposure across the dark and clear web, before threat actors have a chance to leverage it. We unify the core functionalities of cyber threat intelligence and external attack surface management into a single, intuitive platform.
TL;DR: We are a bunch of geeks who help protect our clients' data (and people in their network) by locating cyber risks.
Flare is seeking a highly driven and strategic Director, Worldwide Technology Alliances to lead the development and execution of partnerships that expand Flare’s market presence and enhance its product portfolio.
Your mission in a nutshell:
- Out: Establishing partnerships where Flare’s Threat Exposure Management, dark web monitoring, identity and access management, and threat intelligence are embedded, white-labeled, or OEM-integrated into partner solutions.
- In: Identifying and securing alliances with complementary technologies that augment Flare’s capabilities, creating differentiated value for customers.
- Teaming: Forging strategic collaborations where neither party is directly selling the other, but together create new combined value propositions that accelerate innovation and deliver outcomes greater than what either company could achieve alone. At Flare, we call this 1+1=3.
- CSP: Owning the GTM with key Cloud Services providers including both the AWS and Azure marketplaces.
This is an individual contributor role that blends business development, strategic deal-making, and ecosystem insight to directly drive Flare’s growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner-Driven Growth
- Develop and manage relationships with cybersecurity vendors, ISV’s, cloud platforms, and security solution providers to bring Flare’s technology into their portfolios. This included business planning and forecasting.
- Structure OEM and embedded agreements that position Flare as a core component of partner offerings.
- Support joint go-to-market activities with partners, working cross-functionally with Flare’s commercial and product marketing teams.
Ecosystem Expansion & Technology Enhancement
- Continuously evaluate the market for technologies that strengthen or extend Flare’s platform (e.g., identity security, ITDR, cloud visibility, AI/ML-driven analytics).
- Assess, prioritize, and execute alliances that bring new value to customers through product integrations or joint innovation initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to ensure integrations and partnerships align with customer needs and Flare’s roadmap.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure the messaging and competitive positioning that these new relationships can bring is understood and capitalized on.
Execution & Commercial Impact
- Negotiate agreements, down to the legal and commercial $$$ aspects that drive measurable business results while aligning with Flare’s long-term strategy.
- Define success metrics for each partnership, balancing commercial impact, customer adoption, and strategic value creation.
- Represent Flare with partners, at industry events, and in ecosystem forums to position Flare as the leader in dark web and cyber threat intelligence.
You’ll be a perfect fit if:
- Proven success in securing OEM/embedded partnerships as well as technology alliances that extend product capabilities. This is a MUST HAVE requirement.
- 10+ years of experience in technology alliances, OEM, or business development, preferably in cybersecurity, SaaS, or threat intelligence.
- Good understanding of Threat Exposure Management, dark web monitoring, identity and access management, threat intelligence, and the broader security ecosystem.
- Exceptional negotiation, executive relationship management, and strategic communication skills.
- Ability to operate independently as a senior individual contributor, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
