Overview

  • In this role, you will leverage data to produce actionable insight around clients’ performance on Instacart to:
    • Help them drive category and brand conversion
    • Help them build a profile of the ecomm consumer for their brands
    • Help Instacart’s sales team drive more advertising investment
    • Become a ‘trusted advisor’ on how to win in ecommerce!

About the Job

  • Lead insights for a group of CPG clients within a category and work cross-functionally with multiple sales and account management teams to:
    • Identify the key business drivers for our brand partners, quantify their impact on the business, deliver business insights, and make actionable recommendations to grow the business
    • Integrate consumer and customer insight to better inform targeted strategies, plans, and decisions
    • Able to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams as the key day-to-day insights expert for your clients’ analytic needs
    • Regularly present to various levels at the client ranging from ecommerce or brand teams up to senior CPG ecomm leadership
    • Integrate data from a variety of sources to identify key trends and emerging solutions for the partner and customer
    • Apply the full suite of tools and metrics available against business issues including but not limited to:
      • Sales, share, distribution, assortment, etc.
      • Basket analytics such as cross shop, penetration, affinities, etc.
      • Customer analytics such as trial/repeat, conversion, buy rate, etc.
    • Go beyond the data and craft compelling storylines to engage our partners
    • Lead part of a bigger project that benefits a broad group of clients beyond your immediate day-to-day responsibilities

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Min 5+ years analytical experience, preference from within the consumer packaged goods industry or e-commerce industry
  • Strong analytic / problem solving capabilities
  • Leadership skills in identification of and addressing business opportunities
  • Ability to draw conclusions from large amounts of data and summarize findings in concise manner which tells a story
  • Detail oriented with ability to produce accurate work quickly & efficiently
  • Independent worker with self-starter mentality; takes initiative
  • Strong at project management
  • Skills to training clients on Instacart tools and/or concepts
  • Ability to comprehend and sell concepts within the context of being an advisor / partner to our cpg clients
  • Strong syndicated and/or panel data knowledge
  • Strong experience with Excel and/or Google Suite
  • Basic knowledge of SQL required, with willingness to learn
  • Ability to learn and apply different software applications
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference to candidates in New York City, Chicago, or Toronto areas
  • Experience working with Tableau and/or Mode dashboards
