We are looking for an Investment Banking Manager to build and manage the Investment Banking arm or deal structuring unit; originate and close transactions (equity, debt, advisory), manage institutional/high net worth capital flows; create investment products; and enhance the company’s presence in capital markets; also contribute to AUM growth via investment mandates.
Requirements
- Define and execute investment banking/capital markets strategy: advisory, underwriting, capital raising, structuring mergers & acquisitions (M&A), IPOs, bond issuance etc.
- Identify large institutional investors, private equity, mutual funds, and HNI clients; build networks to attract investment mandates.
- Mobilize large deposits from Big Segments viz: Shipping, Construction, Car dealers, Real Estate, Oil & Gas, Agriculture, etc.
- Structure financial transactions, do valuation, due diligence, negotiate terms, and manage legal & regulatory processes.
- Work with product/structuring teams to build investment products or funds that can accept external capital.
- Support corporate banking when clients need investment/fundraising services; drive synergies.
- Ensure compliance with capital markets regulations, securities commission, and overseas regulatory exposure if applicable.
- Drive revenue via advisory fees, underwriting fees, fund management fees, etc.
- Build and mentor a team: analysts, associates, legal/advisory specialists, structuring and risk analysts.

- 5-8+ years in investment banking, corporate finance, deal structuring, or advisory.
- Experience in structuring large equity or debt instruments, M&A, and IPOs is highly valuable.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, legal/contract skills.
- Network with institutional investors, private equity, funds, and securities regulators.
- Good understanding of capital markets regulations in Nigeria.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Leadership: leading deal teams, driving strategy, building products.
