Business Security Team at Nubank

The Business Security team enables Nu in its challenges, through understanding the business objectives and the needs of our customers, to ensure that we are protecting priority aspects on their agendas, de-risking Nu operations and becoming its trusted advisor.
This team is responsible for collaborating closely with business lines to ensure security is appropriately considered as part of all business activities - internal and external. It also promotes greater visibility from the security perspective, favoring decision-making and enabling the business while strengthening the security maturity of the Business Units.

As a Tech Manager, you'll be expected to

• Develop strong partnerships with General Managers and their Business Units
• Implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy for Nubank BU's that aligns with our overall strategic objectives
• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to information security, physical security, fraud prevention, and risk management
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate remediation measures
• Support compliance with regulatory requirements related to security and privacy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the business requirements, and translate them into technical specifications
• Define guidelines and best practices on business security matters that empower Nubankers to perform their work efficiently and securely
• Work in a multidisciplinary and global team, interacting with teams mainly in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia

We are looking for a professional who has

• Proven experience in designing and implementing security controls
• Familiarity with different domains and concepts of cyber and business security
• Strong inclination towards data-driven decision-making
• Previous experience leading Security teams
• Experience being accountable for people management, having exposure to performance assessment, hiring, supporting career growth, etc
• A good level of technical understanding, being able to take part in security discussions with Engineers and to translate complex, technical projects and concepts for non-engineers and Business Executives
• Advanced level of English
