About Regulatory Solutions Team

Our mission is to support Nu’s sustainable growth ensuring the KYC process and regulatory routines are in compliance with local and international regulatory requirements, challenging the status quo through:

  • Promoting the best customer experience to our fanatic customers challenging the bureaucratic onboarding process ensuring a high-quality standard of client data, as well as its regulatory adherence;
  • Being diligent and resilient, following Nu's principles.

In order to achieve that, we are responsible for supporting all activities related to the KYC process during the onboarding and post-onboarding. This involves PEP and Sanctions screening process, negative information screening, EDD for high-risk prospect/customers, customers’ data maintenance and integrity, and other enhanced due diligence processes according to applicable regulation.

As a Regulatory Solutions Supervisor You'll Be Expected To:

  • Lead the KYC Ops team, within RegSol in Nu Colombia
  • Create, design, update and implement processes for onboarding and ongoing according to local regulation.
  • Be second hierarchy instance to approve/deny PEPs and high risk prospects/customers.
  • Collaborate in investigations and process review related to Screenings routines.
  • Monitoring metrics and KPIs, facilitating communication within Nubank’s teams.
  • Look for permanent improvements and scalability processes.
  • Deploying projects to comply with key policies related to Screenings scope and all the related operational routines.
  • Analyze, escalate and resolve requests/issues/errors and identify policy gaps and formulate policies to streamline processes related to Screenings routines.
  • Identifying Onboarding/ongoing regulatory challenges and opportunities and use analytical tools to solve them.
  • Building models/analysis to evaluate the efficiency of KYC/Onboarding processes as well as its regulatory adherence.
  • Coordinate and prioritize tasks involving enhancements and/ or gaps related to analysis and routines.

We are looking for a Regulatory Solutions Supervisor who has:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Administration, Finance, Economic Sciences or related.
  • 5+ years of experience working on AML, Screening, PEP’s and at least 2 working in leadership roles.
  • Previous experience working with local regulation.
  • Proficient with oral and written communication in Spanish and English.
  • Experience managing by influence and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to turn easily situations/numbers into complex strategies and effective actions.
