The Legal Team

Help us build the legal team in Mexico! Our mission is to act as partners, enablers, and guardians working for NU Mexico´s entry & growth with disruptive legal thinking while influencing the Mexican legal market.

Main responsibilities (but please consider more!):

  • Drafting and negotiating all kinds of commercial, IT, and transactional agreements.
  • Provide good quality advice promptly to the business department.
  • Attend regulator's information requirements regarding products.
  • Provide legal advice and identify legal risks on regulatory issues of a Financial Institution.
  • Perform regulatory discoveries regarding viability and product implementation.
  • Analyze and participate in upcoming industry initiatives.
  • Advise the business to identify the risks and provide solutions or alternatives to the project in such advisory.
  • Identify legal risks and be a team player with the business to find legal strategy solutions.

Requirements for a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law.
  • English proficiency is required.
  • 5-7 years experience in financial law, regulatory issues, a variety of contracts (drafting and negotiating), and assessing financial products and operational business
  • Knowledge regarding regulatory risk perception undertaken by authorities/regulators such as Banxico, CNBV, Condusef or any other.
  • Excellent drafting and legal interpretation skills.
  • Understand the business needs.
