Our Procurement team
Our purpose is to support, influence and challenge Nubank business decisions by delivering value to the end-to-end sourcing processes through long-term & sustainable partnerships, all executed with efficient, agile and innovative technologies. The Procurement team's BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) is to be the best and least bureaucratic Procurement area in the technology segment by promoting cost efficiency through strategic long-term & sustainable partnerships with the highest skilled, diverse and engaged team.
You will be responsible for
- Act as the Procurement focal point for strategic projects in Mexico, ensuring alignment and execution of local initiatives.
- Develop robust negotiation strategies and cost targets by leveraging market dynamics, industry benchmarks, and key trends.
- Influence stakeholders to adopt consistent and impactful execution practices.
- Manage strategic, relevant, and critical sourcing categories, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Drive and lead local negotiations, maximizing local benefits while ensuring the alignment of local strategy with global procurement strategies.
- Support the Procurement team on legal and regulatory requirements in the region.
- Ensure all executed processes guarantee risk mitigation, harmonization across geographies, while maintaining scalability and repeatability.
- Drive the development and implementation of category strategies and procurement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains to support Nubank's long-term growth.
- Adjust and refine processes with agility and objectivity to meet fast-paced business and regulatory needs.
- Leverage technology and analytical tools to enhance category management and decision-making processes.
- Analyze procurement data and KPIs, generate reports and dashboards, and provide valuable insights to support decision-making.
- Drill down on Nubank's category budget to analyze spending patterns and uncover hidden cost efficiency opportunities.
- Anticipate business risks and implement mitigation strategies within the category; diligence in managing regulatory risks is extremely important in strategic vendor management.
- Be a key contributor to the strategic direction of Procurement, driving continuous improvement and organizational change initiatives.

We are looking for a person who has
- Experience: Minimum 8-10 years in Procurement, working in services, technology, or specifically in Nubank's categories.
- Negotiation & Sourcing: Strong strategic negotiation and sourcing skills, with proven ability to maximize local benefits.
- Communication: Excellent, clear, concise, and objective communication skills, with proven ability to manage complex relationships with both internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven skills in stakeholder management and influencing across different geographical and functional teams.
- Regulatory & Risk Acumen: Proven ability to support legal/regulatory requirements and ensure risk mitigation in sourcing processes.
- Process Improvement & Agility: Holistic view, a hands-on approach for process enhancements, and the ability to adjust processes with agility and objectivity.
- Procurement Knowledge: Proficiency in procurement strategies and levers.
- Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
- Teamwork: Effective team player with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Prioritization: Keen sense of prioritization and task management.
- Language: Advanced proficiency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
