To act as a true business partner to leaders by translating business goals into people strategies — and ensuring execution happens, not just decks. You’re successful in this role if:
Business leaders proactively seek your input (not just approvals)
Managers get better at managing — measurably
Attrition is understood, not “mysterious”
Performance conversations are timely, fair, and high-quality
People decisions are backed by data, not vibes
HR processes feel light logical, and respected, not bureaucratic
Attributes an ideal candidate should have to be successful in this role
We’re looking for thinking HRBPs, not task managers.
Must haves:
Strong business acumen / or at least the ability to understand business fast
Ability to influence without authority
High ownership mindset (you don’t wait to be told)
Comfort with ambiguity and fast change
Excellent judgment — especially in grey areas
Data-first approach to people problems
Nice to haves (but we secretly love these):
Ability to challenge leaders respectfully
Bias for action over perfection
Clear, crisp communication (no HR jargon)
Sense of humor - because work is intense enough already
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnership: Trusted advisor to business leaders, translate business priorities into actions
Manager Effectiveness: Coach managers on performance, feedback, and difficult conversations & Improve quality of people management across levels
Performance & Talent Management: Manage performance process and talent development, Identify high performers, high potentials, and risk areas early
Employee Experience: Drive engagement, retention, and culture outcomes. Act as a strong employee advocate and business partner
Data & Insights: Use data to identify trends and recommend actions. Move beyond dashboards to decisions
What you’ll actually do (day to day reality):
Partner with leaders on org design, headcount planning and talent strategy
Drive performance management, promotions, and compensation conversations
Handle employee relations cases with maturity, fairness, and discretion
Coach managers through tough people decisions
Identify systemic people issues and fix root causes
Continuously simplify HR processes — complexity is a bug, not a feature
