About the team
The International Banking Partnerships team sits within the Global Partnerships organization and is a key component of Stripe’s success. Our team is responsible for developing and managing Stripe’s relationships with the global and regional banks in EMEA and APAC that enable Stripe’s product strategy and deliver new capabilities to Stripe users. Our team executes on high-impact, cross-functional product partnership initiatives across existing products and early stage “up the stack” financial products. These partnerships have a significant impact on Stripe and are essential for us to offer products used by millions of our users.
What you’ll do
We are looking for a Partner Development Manager to join Stripe’s International Banking Partnerships team in APAC. You will be responsible for developing and executing the multi-year, global strategies for building Stripe’s relationships across many of our most important banking partners. You will focus on designing, scaling, and continuously improving mechanisms to deepen relationships with Stripe’s partners, as well as highly impactful programs key to differentiating Stripe. As part of these efforts, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders (including Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Risk, etc.), and with the banking partners’ executive teams.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to manage and develop partners; think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges; as well as earn trust with and influence others. A high agency attitude, ability to raise expectations in changing environments, driving impact through ownership are musts:
Responsibilities
- Manage and setup Stripe’s most critical banking partnerships in the APAC region, with a focus on scoping and launching new product offerings to benefit Stripe users
- Own the banking partner plans, the overall economics, day to day operational excellence and be responsible for the driving the partnerships to successful outcomes for Stripe
- Leverage banking, treasury and payments industry knowledge to craft thoughtful partnership and product strategies with transaction banks, lenders, capital markets, central banks and schemes where relevant
- Navigate, in partnership with Product and Engineering to execute deals supporting that strategy and help ensure proper execution plan in place
- Gather inputs from and coordinate with internal cross-functional stakeholders (including risk, compliance, product, finance, treasury) on creation and execution of partner strategy
- Help find the right partner stakeholders that can champion Stripe, educate them about Stripe’s value proposition, understand their needs, and execute deals that address those needs and support our strategy
- Leverage significant industry experience to educate and help internal teams compose our holistic bank led strategy and to advance that strategy with banking partners
- Monitoring of the changing Banking landscape and proactively advise Stripe on product opportunities that could be demonstrated, optimizing or replacing existing products

Requirements
- At least 8+ years of financial services experiences that includes directly working at banking institutions in cash management, FIG or payments and experience across partner management working with banking institutions in PSPs or fintechs enabling global pay in/pay out & FX
- Advanced knowledge of the banking and clearing landscape in ANZ and Southeast Asia with specific focus on transaction banking, correspondent banking and cross border services.
- A proven track record of working in a product centric environment with significant internal and external dependencies across product, engineering, legal, sales, risk and compliance.
- Broad and deep experience executing industry-wide partnership strategies to build innovative product experiences and go to market models
- Strong negotiation skills and ambitious on what we should try to do with our partners and how Stripe creates value and differentiation
- An operationally focused mindset, with an ability to see challenging deals through to success, far beyond signing, leading teams through execution by using planning, metrics, and organizational structures
- Having a mindset of contributing to the success of the team and overall company, outside of individual goals and objectives
- Excellent english speaker with strong communication skills that are adaptable to internal and external environments.
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is S$180,000 - S$270,000. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
