What you’ll do
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) focusing on the Legal domain will be the system administrator for Stripe’s key legal systems and a key liaison between the Stripe Legal and the IT / Engineering teams. This role is responsible for the analysis, configuration, implementation, and support of critical legal technologies (e.g., eDiscovery, Entities Management, eBilling, and CLM), helping Stripe Legal to operate efficiently to keep Stripe compliant.
Responsibilities

Requirements & Analysis:
- Partner closely with Stripe Legal SMEs, stakeholders, and external legal vendors to identify, document, and prioritize business needs and process improvements.
- Conduct detailed requirements gathering sessions, translating complex legal needs into clear, actionable functional and technical specifications (e.g., user stories, use cases, process flow diagrams).

System Implementation & Configuration:
- Serve as the primary system administrator and configuration expert for a specialized suite of Legal Technology applications.
- Manage and configure enterprise Legal SaaS platforms to optimize Stripe Legal’s security, workflow, and compliance needs.
- Participate in all phases of the system development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, testing (UAT), deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Serve as the primary system administrator and configuration expert for a specialized suite of Legal Technology applications.

Data, Reporting, & Integrations:
- Develop custom reports, dashboards, and metrics (e.g., spend analysis, entity compliance) to provide actionable insights to Legal leadership.
- Manage and govern Legal system data, ensuring integrity, security, and compliance with data retention policies.
- Define and manage integration requirements between Legal systems and other enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, HRIS, CRM, Internal Stripe platforms).
- Develop custom reports, dashboards, and metrics (e.g., spend analysis, entity compliance) to provide actionable insights to Legal leadership.

Support & Training:
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting system issues, and coordinating resolutions with third-party SaaS vendor support teams.
- Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, training materials, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with at least 2-3 years dedicated to supporting Legal and/or Legal Operations systems.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, translating complex legal needs into system requirements.
- Strong understanding of corporate legal processes, including eDiscovery workflows, matter lifecycle, and corporate governance.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising between highly technical and non-technical legal teams
- Legal Technology Expertise. Demonstrated hands-on experience in the configuration, administration, and support of the following critical legal systems
- Exterro (eDiscovery, Legal GRC)
- Diligent Entities (fka Blueprint) (Entity Management)
- CounselLink (eBilling and Matter Management)
- Kodex (Digital Vault/Security)
- Ironclad (Contract Lifecycle Management - CLM)
- DocuSign CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management)
- Exterro (eDiscovery, Legal GRC)
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with SQL for data querying and analysis.
- Understanding of system integration methodologies and APIs relevant to the legal tech stack.
- Demonstrated experience configuring systems and building workflows using low-code/no-code tools
- Familiarity or prior experience with the following specialized applications:

- LexisNexis (Research/Business Information Services)
- Authentic8 (Silobrowser)
- Go Deed Inc. (or similar real estate document tool)
