About The Team/role

In this position, you will join the BI team, a globally distributed team with the key goal to increase company efficiency, while also being the inspiration behind 99's data-driven culture, processing petabytes of new data being generated every day by millions of customers using high end tools around the Hadoop ecosystem.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will help us accomplish that by bringing a deeper understanding of both holistic and pin-focused challenges across the company (from Operations, Product, Finance, Marketing, etc), and deliver data backed recommendations to support decision making.

In this role, you'll be...
  • Work closely with business teams to identify opportunities for better decision making.
  • Analyze large amounts of data to find patterns and generate insights to answer key questions.
  • Be responsible for data preparation and extraction, development of data pipelines or dashboards needed to perform the analysis.
  • Create performance indicators and track the impact and efficiency of features and processes.

We're eager to be in touch because you have...
  • Has a bachelor's degree (any area).
  • Experience with SQL and Python/R for data analysis
  • Knowledge of experimental design and statistical methods/machine learning.
  • Is comfortable to communicate in English in a multicultural environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate findings to a non technical audience.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to identify data issues within a system and drive actionable solutions of it successfully.
  • Bonus points for previous experience with Hadoop tools (such as hdfs, spark and hive).
