About the role:

The Data & Analytics team at DriveWealth creates data products that provide access to relevant data and insights to help customers succeed. We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to help the internal and external data consumers thrive off of curated data sources. Analytics Engineering focuses on creating, maintaining and monitoring curated data sources and statistics used both by internal partners and external customers. Although this role focuses on data output, it will work across the technology team as necessary given how central data output is to growing and scaling DriveWealth.

The ideal candidate is someone that thrives on making sure the data delivered to customers is exactly as intended and is excited by leading and growing a team. The candidate should be excited about coming into a team in the process of shaping the direction of data and analytics at DriveWealth, working closely with data engineers, product managers and internal stakeholders to interpret and clarify requirements, architect and build efficient and usable data marts. This means balancing competing priorities and laying the groundwork for scale while building top tier data products.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and maintain data marts used by DriveWealth’s customers as well as internally, ensuring consistent accurate outputs delivered quickly through efficient code with testing and verification
  • Work with business partners to translate data questions and finalize analytics engineering requirements, anticipate future features to proactively provide value from data
  • Work with broader data & analytics team to ideate, build and maintain “self service” data products that enable data and analytics usage (tables, reports, dashboards and python notebooks), stepping in to help deliver and provide guidance wherever necessary and possible
  • Work to establish an open and scalable data culture through documentation, constructive code reviews and clear explanations of priorities and pain points
  • Act as a data evangelist on data quality and testing. Working to establish best in class development practices that put data quality first without unnecessarily hindering deployment time.

What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience solving data problems with business partners to produce automated deliverables, including informing if not owning a portion of the development process
  • Experience working within larger data team balancing ideating on solutions, creating output, writing verification tests and reviewing others work
  • Fluent in SQL
  • Familiarity with NoSQL and semi-structured data
  • Experience with DBT is required
  • Experience with Airflow, Databricks Workflows, or some other orchestration service is preferred
  • Familiarity with GitHub, AGILE development and worked in a CI/CD environment
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent program
  • Experience with Sigma Computing

Bonus points for experience with:

  • Python (Jupyter Notebooks)
  • FinTech or stock market experience
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, and/or AWS
