About the team
DriveWealth is seeking a summer intern to join our Finance Team. This internship will rotate through the different Finance departments, including Controllers, Treasury, and FP&A, providing the opportunity to experience the criticality of a successful Finance department within a growth-stage start-up.
As the Finance intern, you will be accountable for independent projects while shadowing different professionals; allowing you to learn by both doing and seeing. You will develop an understanding of the broader aspects of Drivewealth’s businesses and structure, and how they contribute to its financials. Through the rotational format, you will develop an appreciation of the impact of the Finance organization and step into many different roles mimicking the cross-functional nature of an actual job at DriveWealth.
This is a full-time, in-person internship involving 40 hours per week. Deadline to apply is Friday, December 8, 2023.
What You’ll Do
- Support DriveWealth’s Finance Team through investment/cash management, forecasting, financial & regulatory reporting, and budgeting
- Assist in the management of cash, financials and planning of a fin-tech start-up, in consideration of regulation
- Manage Drivewealth’s digital transformation and financial automation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leaders throughout the company
- Develop materials for Senior Management and the Board that support strategic initiative
What You’ll Need
- Interest in working in a fast-paced growth-stage fintech start-up with an emphasis on engineering (APIs specifically), technology, finance, and operations
- Interest in starting a career in corporate finance
- Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
- Relevant academic, project-based, or internship experience
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Curiosity and a desire to learn
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently
- Ability to receive and implement feedback
- Excitement for teamwork and building relationships
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or MBA degree with a graduation date between December 2024 and June 2026
- Be available full-time and in-person for 40 hours per week
- Must reside in NY-metro area, relocation support will not be provided
- Must be available to start on Monday, June 3, 2024. Internship will conclude in mid-August
Compensation
Compensation package offerings are based on candidate experience and technical qualifications, as it relates to the role. These are identified and determined throughout your interviewing experience.
Please note: this role is expected to come into our office daily, a cadence set by the Hiring Manager/Team.
