About the Team

In the Platform Engineering team we believe that engineering is a science. We combine proven design principles with cutting edge technology to build a backbone of performance oriented and scalable applications.. Being in the center of all processes you'll get a unique opportunity to understand all technology behind modern trading and life cycle.

This is a full-time, in-person internship involving 40 hours per week. Deadline to apply is Friday, December 8, 2023.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with internal teams to define and implement solutions that improve internal business processes.
  • Build internal solutions, with custom front-ends (web) and back-end services that automate business processes.
  • Maintain highest levels of development practices including technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution, writing clean, modular, and self-sustaining code.
  • Understand operational workflows, identify and define tool needs to enable operational scaling, and drive the development (initial and ongoing) and deployment of these tools with Engineering.
  • Integrate third-party products into internal systems as well as support and upgrade implemented systems.
  • Opportunity to work with FIX protocol , docker, spring ,AWS ,messaging platforms like Kafka , aurora DB and many more.

What You’ll Need

  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
  • Knowledge of main sorting and searching algorithms, data structures and principles of algorithms complexity evaluation.
  • Knowledge of basic software design patterns.
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (eg - java , JS) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with no sql and rdbms databases (eg -Dynamo DB, Aurora DB ) is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Masters with a graduation date between December 2024 and June 2026
  • Be available full-time and in-person for 40 hours per week
  • Must reside in NY-metro area, relocation support will not be provided
  • Must be available to start on Monday, June 3, 2023. Internship will conclude in mid-August

Compensation
Compensation package offerings are based on candidate experience and technical qualifications, as it relates to the role. These are identified and determined throughout your interviewing experience.

Please note: this role is expected to come into our office daily, a cadence set by the Hiring Manager/Team.
