We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our Post Trade engineering team. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our brokerage systems. You will work closely with our engineering team and other stakeholders to create scalable, efficient, and highly available systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be responsible for the technical architecture, design and delivery of high performance and scalable post trade systems/functions using Java
  • Assess the health and performance of software applications and databases, and provide software and technology solutions to any issues
  • Design, develop, and maintain microservices based on REST and gRPC frameworks
  • Work with the broker dealer operations teams to support and enhance the trading and backend system for multiple asset classes like equities, options and mutual funds
  • Define specifications, develop components, modify existing software stack, and prepare test data and functional specifications
  • Analyze service and application performance using various programming languages, tools, and techniques
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, and guidance to non-technical staff

What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience with strong knowledge of Java
  • Experience with the design and development of microservices
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD and automated testing frameworks
  • Understanding of test driven development and how to write effective unit/integration tests
  • Proficient in NoSQL, SQL and stored procedures such as Postgres and SQL Server
  • Knowledge of Kafka and building async platforms
  • Experience with container and container orchestrator technologies like Docker, Openshift, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Experience with Unix, Linux Operating Systems
  • Experience with Scrum and other Agile processes
  • Knowledge of Jira, Git, and Jenkins
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of brokerage systems is highly preferred

Nice To Have, But Not Required:

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience in fintech industry, specifically with post trade

Compensation
Compensation package offerings are based on candidate experience and technical qualifications, as it relates to the role. These are identified and determined throughout your interviewing experience.

: this role is expected to come into our office on a cadence set by the Hiring Manager/Team.

New York, NY (Hybrid) Pay Range
$185,000$200,000 USD
