About The Role:

We are seeking our first in-house tax professional to join our Finance leadership team. While we leverage KPMG for execution of global tax compliance, this role will provide oversight, ensure accuracy, and serve as the internal tax voice for a rapidly growing fintech company with a global presence. This is a high-impact role with exposure to senior leadership, requiring both hands-on execution and strategic thinking.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversight of External Advisors:
    • Review and challenge work prepared by KPMG (corporate income tax, indirect tax, international filings, transfer pricing)
    • Manage deliverables, deadlines, and cost efficiency
  • Tax Risk Management & Governance:
    • Develop and maintain internal tax controls in line with SOX (if applicable) and global best practices
    • Ensure compliance with tax laws in multiple jurisdictions
    • Act as the primary point of contact during tax audits
  • Strategic Business Partnering:
    • Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Finance to evaluate tax implications of new products, services, and market entries
    • Provide tax input on business contracts and revenue arrangements
  • Planning & Advisory:
    • Support international structuring, inter-company transactions, and transfer pricing policies
    • Partner with Treasury and FP&A on cash repatriation, effective tax rate forecasting, and tax optimization
  • Scaling the Function:
    • Build processes to reduce reliance on external advisors over time
    • Potentially grow an internal tax team as the company expands

What You'll Need:

  • 7–12 years of progressive tax experience (Big 4 public accounting + in-house preferred)
  • Strong background in corporate tax compliance and planning; international tax and fintech/financial services experience a plus
  • Ability to critically review and challenge work prepared by external advisors
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving processes

Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. DriveWealth is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
