Duranta was founded with the mission of helping contractors, starting with landscapers, create a more beautiful world. Every year, over 1.5 million acres of land in the US is being converted into urban dwelling areas, and we are building the platform that contractors will use to design beautiful, ecological spaces, and run efficient businesses.
We are looking for a front-end engineer to join our team.
As a frontend engineer, you will be tasked with the development of a highly optimized & resilient, low latency mobile and web-app experience (React & React Native for mobile with GoLang, Postgres on the BE). We highly value previous expertise in building smooth and pleasant mobile experiences, and we would like you to leverage your expertise and work very closely with the backend engineerings and our designer to optimize the mobile app experience.
Additionally, our application will have a CAD (Computer-Aided Design) component, so any experience in this area will be helpful. 3D game-development experience for example is a big plus.
We are headquartered in Seattle and have a team in NYC. We require future hires to be able to work from the office in either Seattle or NYC. We meet as a team 4x a year in Seattle and would like all employees to be able to spend a week onsite in Seattle.
Responsibilities and focus areas
- Building modern web applications in React
- Building mobile apps in React Native that include offline capability
- General design, development, and support for web-based applications
You will thrive if you have
- Early stage startup experience
- A knack for working in small, driven teams, with high autonomy
- The desire to talk to & learn from users and collaboratively build a product together with the founders, the designer etc.
- Experience with React Native (2+ years)
- Experience in the modern front-end web development (6+ for senior, 3+ for mid level position)
- Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with agile development practices
- In-depth knowledge of React JS
And for extra credit
- Basic knowledge of computer graphics
- Experience with GoLang BE development
- Experience in building CAD applications, 3D games, or any other computer graphics related applications.
