The Corporate Accounting team is responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial reports, maintaining accounting policies and ensuring compliance across the company, building the best-in-class month-end processes, all while partnering with teams across the company. As a member of the team, you’ll play a vital role in designing and maintaining scalable procedures, policies and internal controls to ensure compliance with US GAAP and other laws/regulations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, highly analytical individual who can work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
What you’ll do at Figma:
- Perform month-end close activities including balance sheet reconciliations for Sales & Marketing related activities and accruals, virtual cards, T&E activities, benefits, and operating expenses allocations
- Be a strategic business partner to the Sales & Marketing teams, collaborating on projects and supporting related business initiatives
- Help identify, drive, and implement process improvements while documenting new and existing processes, including development of a systemic allocations methodology
- Prepare monthly/quarterly flux analysis and reporting packages
- Respond to audit requests for related areas
- Maintain accurate operating expenses coding (review AP coding, departments, tagging, etc.)
- Support system implementations, development of new processes, and creation of new recons, etc.
- Assist in SOX implementation
- Maintain and update accounting policies of owned areas
- Partner with other internal and external contacts at all levels
- Other ad hoc projects as needed
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with Netsuite or equivalent ERP
- Experience building cross-functional relationships and communicating with stakeholders across all levels and functions
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
- 2+ years of experience working in a high-growth SaaS company
- 2+ years of experience working in public accounting
- Demonstrated experience researching and understanding complex accounting issues
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Experience with Zip, Expensify, Navan or similar accounting softwares
- A CPA (or are currently a CPA candidate)
Pay Transparency Disclosure
If based in Figma’s San Francisco or New York hub offices, this role has the annual base salary range stated below.
Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 80% and 100% of range.
