• Manage, support and grow a diverse team of data engineers who design and build scalable products and systems across Figma’s core product and GTM functions
• Partner with engineering, marketing, sales and finance leadership to set strategy, priorities, and mission for teams and projects
• Work closely with engineering and data science partners to up-level the use of data across the company
• Establish trust within and across teams by creating accountability and a positive work environment in partnership with other leaders in the organization

• 2+ years of experience building and leading high output data engineering teams
• Experience building and scaling data systems as a leader and/or as an individual contributor
• Proven track record of building, scaling, and shipping high-quality products in high growth environments
• Firm knowledge of a variety of types of data engineering workflows such as analytics engineering, pipeline and ecosystem management, and distributed computing
• Experience working with industry standard tools such as DBT, Snowflake, and Dagster

• A passion for deeply understanding the needs of our internal client teams and aligning roadmap to drive maximum business impact
• Experience with experimentation platforms, machine learning platforms, data governance and quality systems
