Figma’s tax team is growing and we are looking for a Tax Manager who will play a pivotal role in creating tangible value to Figma’s business. As the Tax Manager, you will drive continuous improvements in our tax provision processes by exercising out of the box thinking to optimize efficiency. This position offers a unique opportunity to join a small but mighty tax team and make an immediate impact.

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you’ll do at Figma:

  • Assist with preparation of US GAAP/IFRS income tax accounting models including deferred accounting, payable accounting, tax accounts roll-forward, return-to-provision true-up, SBC, ETR, and tax implications of mergers & acquisitions
  • Support the monthly and quarterly close process including the preparation of tax journal entries and tax account reconciliations
  • Manage and review of US federal, state, and local income tax compliance prepared by external advisors. Ensure accuracy and timely filing of tax returns
  • Assist with the calculation of extensions and tax payments for various state and local non-income taxes
  • Assist with managing income tax audits and notices
  • Assist with special tax projects as they arise, such as tax planning, legal entity rationalization, acquisitions, and new entity formation initiatives as needed
  • Provide support with building the processes and calendar to ensure a smooth connection among accounting, tax compliance and tax accounting functions
  • Keep up to date with tax legislation, SEC Regulations, and US GAAP changes, practice and global development

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 6+ years in a corporate tax environment in industry and/or Big 4.
  • Experience in Federal and Multistate corporate income tax compliance
  • Experience with ASC 740 and IFRS
  • Demonstrated ability to develop work plans to carry out complex projects
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with the experience to communicate tax matters succinctly to all levels of business organizations
  • Effective sense of ownership and accountability

While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

  • 2+ years of experience working in a high-growth tech company
  • 1+ years of experience working in a Tax Manager role at a SaaS company
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
