Born on the Web, Figma helps entire product teams brainstorm, design and build better products — from start to finish. Whether it’s consolidating tools, simplifying workflows, or collaborating across teams and time zones, Figma makes the design process faster, more efficient, and fun while keeping everyone on the same page. From great products to long-lasting companies, we believe that nothing great is made alone—come make with us!
We are looking to grow our team of Engineering Managers to support various aspects of our design- to-production product experiences, a core part of our Editor engineering pillar area. This is a great opportunity if you enjoy working closely with cross-functional partners from product, design, research, and data to not just shape how a product gets built, but also what to build and how to bring it to market.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you'll do at Figma:
- Manage and support a team of product engineers focused on building and expanding Figma’s design to production product experiences.
- Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate work across product, design, engineering, and other functions.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership to your teams and others that collaborate with your teams to ensure a cohesive product experience and the right technical abstractions.
- Recruit, mentor and retain high performing engineers (and help with other cross functional roles). You’ll foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and taking calculated risks.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 2+ years of experience managing software engineers working on products used by external users.
- A proven track record of building products (both as a manager and individual contributor) that are best in class in user experience.
- A relentless focus on business impact through product & engineering excellence.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in building a high-performing and highly engaged engineering team; including mentoring, and growing senior engineers.
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
- Experience building or leading a team focused on design systems.
