We're looking for a Director, Marketing Strategy & Operations to join our Growth Marketing team and help shape Figma's future while scaling our foundation. In this key role, you'll be at the core of all our critical marketing efforts, working across the entire organization to drive efficiency and growth. You'll have the chance to improve our marketing infrastructure, refine our processes, and foster collaboration between teams. Your strategic insights will help us make thoughtful, data-driven decisions that enhance our user experience and expand Figma's reach in the design community and beyond. You'll also lead and mentor a dedicated team, nurturing their skills and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. If you enjoy solving complex problems, optimizing systems, and using your expertise to make a real impact while developing successful teams, we'd love to talk to you about how you can help take Figma to the next level.

This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you'll do:

  • Identify, analyze and present strategic opportunities for our global marketing organization
  • Oversee our email and database marketing efforts, including targeted and programmatic campaigns, onboarding, and promotional communications while also ensuring we are compliant with email laws and regulations while maintaining a focus on user experience
  • Proactively drive database segmentation and strategic conversations that identify investments around high-revenue generating projects
  • Oversee our marketing technology stack, including 80+ integrated tools, to ensure efficient data flow and optimal performance
  • Lead and mentor a dedicated team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
  • Collaborate closely with global cross-functional partners including growth marketing, data science, legal, finance, business ops, and sales teams
  • Optimize processes for lead processing, routing, and scoring as well as attribution and measurement
  • Analyze and report on key marketing metrics, providing insights to drive decision-making to an executive audience

We’d love to hear from you if you have

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing strategy and operations or similar roles, with at least five years working in PLG or B2C environments supporting a self-serve funnel
  • Experience leading or influencing global marketing strategy through database analysis
  • Technical knowledge of marketing tools, systems, and data flows, including proficiency in SQL and HTML and familiarity with platforms like CustomerIO, SFDC, Asana, Notion, Mode, and Hex
  • Demonstrated understanding of email marketing standard processes, technologies, and regulations
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have

  • Experience with B2B SaaS, preferably in product-led growth (PLG) companies
  • Proven communication skills with the ability to distill complex information across various channels
  • Familiarity with AI tools and their applications in marketing operations and improving efficiency
  • Pre-existing knowledge and use of Figma’s platform
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
