Notion is an in person company, and currently requires its employees to come to the office for two Anchor Days (Mondays & Thursdays) and requests that employees spend the majority of their week in the office (including a third day).

About The Role:

The Product Infrastructure team works on creating abstractions and data models that solve enduring problems across the stack. We solve problems that span multiple product surfaces and typically stretch across both front-end and backend and unblock new product avenues that were previously challenging to create.

What You'll Achieve:

• Shape and build new product abstractions and data models start to finish with the goal of solving long-term and wide spanning technical problems.
• Work at all levels of the stack such as AWS, NodeJS, WebSockets, TypeScript, React and Postgres.
• Solve hard technical challenges such as permission modeling, or creating a queryable tree representation of data that allows for fast traversal so you can easily cache pages for offline retrieval.

Nice to Haves:

• You have worked on improving functionality of typed languages (e.g. TypeScript, Flow), have have deep familiarity with query languages (e.g. GraphQL) or have implemented your own data modeling paradigms (e.g. writing your own ORM)
• You've heard of computing pioneers like Ada Lovelace, Douglas Engelbart, Alan Kay, and others—and understand why we're big fans of their work.
• You have interests outside of technology, such as in art, history, or social sciences.

The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco, the estimated base salary range for this role is $170,000 - $250,000 per year.
