Millions of users, from individuals to large organizations like Toyota, Figma, and OpenAI, love Notion for its flexibility and choose it because it helps them save time and money.
In-person collaboration is essential to Notion's culture. We require all team members to work from our offices on Mondays and Thursdays, our designated Anchor Days. Certain teams or positions may require additional in-office workdays.
About the Role:
We're looking for a seasoned Corporate Infrastructure Engineer to architect and maintain the physical and network systems that keep Notion running across our global offices. You'll shape the infrastructure backbone of a company transforming how the world works—designing, supporting, and evolving the IT systems that power collaboration for millions.
Based in San Francisco, you'll build and deliver solutions with real autonomy on a team that trusts your expertise. Partner with world‑class engineers across Security, IT Operations, and IT Systems Engineering to directly influence our global IT strategy. Work hands‑on with cutting‑edge technologies, mentor the broader IT team, and see your impact every day as resilient network architecture and optimized operations enable hundreds to do their best work.
If complex systems, collaborative problem‑solving, and building world‑class infrastructure motivate you, let's talk.
What You'll Achieve:
Help design through deploy our corporate IT stack - from network services and storage to virtualization and MDF/IDF operations - so everything just works for our teammates
Keep systems humming day to day: install, configure, monitor, document, and automate across our IT infrastructure
Coach and mentor members of the IT support team so everyone can do their best work
Jump in on tactical escalations and bring issues to a clear, timely resolution
Continually review our environment and propose pragmatic improvements that boost performance, reliability, and scalability as we grow globally
Share knowledge with the broader IT team and run trainings to help the whole org level up
Support office buildouts and expansions, including occasional travel to our global locations
Nurture vendor relationships with ISPs, data circuit providers, low‑voltage cablers, and security systems integrators
Handle hands‑on hardware work as needed, including installing and maintaining equipment, and safely lifting up to 50lbs to heights of up to 6ft
Skills You'll Need to Bring:
7+ years configuring and maintaining corporate infrastructure end to end: network and security, configuration management, virtualization (IaaS/AWS), and on‑prem hardware supporting global office locations
You're comfortable at the command line on macOS, Windows, and Linux, and you design and build MDF/IDF infrastructure with care for power, cooling, and monitoring
You're network‑hardware savvy with Aruba, Juniper, Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, and other major vendors, and have a strong foundation in protocols, models, and core networking concepts
You design and implement AV backends for large‑scale internal company events
You keep systems healthy with monitoring tools like NMS, ELK Stack, MRTG, Nagios, Splunk, Cacti, and Syslog
You script and automate in Python, PowerShell, or similar, and bring identity and access expertise across Directory Services (AD, LDAP), RADIUS, SAML, PKI, and PAM
You're curious, collaborative, and detail‑oriented, with strong communication skills and a pragmatic security mindset
You build productive partnerships with ISPs and technology vendors, and you're AI‑curious and eager to use new tools to boost productivity and decision‑making
We hire talented and passionate people from a variety of backgrounds because we want our global employee base to represent the wide diversity of our customers. If you’re excited about a role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every bullet point listed in the job description, we still encourage you to apply. If you’re a builder at heart, share our company values, and enthusiastic about making software toolmaking ubiquitous, we want to hear from you.
