About Waterplan
Waterplan is the AI-native platform for water-dependent industries. The world's leading companies, including Amazon, Colgate, and AB InBev, rely on Waterplan to manage their sustainability data and decision making, while reducing risk, cutting costs, and turning sustainability into a competitive advantage. We're a fast-moving, mission-driven team, and we're looking for people who want to build, take real ownership, and help take Waterplan to its next stage of growth.
The Role
As an Event Specialist on the Marketing team, you plan and execute experiences that bring our customers and partners together around Waterplan. You own the full range of our events, from webinars to Waterplan's own executive roundtables, customer dinners, and workshops, as well as our presence at third-party conferences and trade shows.
It's a role for someone equal parts producer and relationship builder: obsessed with the details that make an experience memorable, organized enough to run several events in parallel, and well connected enough to open doors with the comms, marketing, and event leaders who shape our industry.
What You'll Own
- Plan and execute events and webinars (your #1 rock). Own every event end to end, from concept, agenda, and speakers to run-of-show and on-site or on-air execution. Every experience should feel premium and reflect the Waterplan brand.
- Get the right people in the room. Manage invite lists, promotion, registration, and attendance, ensuring ICP decision makers show up.
- Build relationships with comms, marketing, and event leaders. Connect with leaders at our customers, partners, conferences, and industry associations, and turn those relationships into co-hosted events, speaking slots, and sponsorships.
- Manage the calendar, budget, and logistics. Keep a clear events calendar and manage budgets, vendors, and contracts. Handle booths, shipping, branded materials, and travel for the Sales team and executives attending each event.
- Measure and improve. Track attendance, engagement, meetings booked, and pipeline influenced for every event. Turn the learnings into a repeatable event playbook that scales as our calendar grows.
- Help build Waterplan's events engine from the ground up. Shape the events that bring together the leaders tackling one of the world's most urgent challenges, water. Your work will put Waterplan on the global stage, from roundtables in London and New York to the world's leading sustainability conferences.
What Success Looks Like
- A consistent calendar of high-quality experiences, executed on time and on budget
- Events that turn into meetings and pipeline for Sales
- Attendees, speakers, and partners who leave impressed and want to come back
- Active relationships with comms, marketing, and event leaders that regularly turn into co-hosted events and partnerships
- A documented event playbook that improves quarter over quarter
- Waterplan recognized as a leading voice at the world's top sustainability and water events
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in B2B event planning, including corporate events, conferences, or trade shows
- International working experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Obsessed with the experience — you think about every touchpoint, from the invite to the follow-up, and "good enough" isn't
- Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail — you juggle multiple events and vendors at once, and you spot issues before anyone else
- Resourceful and calm under pressure — when something goes wrong on the day, you solve it before anyone notices
- A natural relationship builder and communicator — you build trust quickly and have a confident presence with senior executives, speakers, and partners
- Comfort using AI in your day-to-day workflows, and an interest in building AI-assisted ways of working
