About the Team
The Client Acquisition team is at the forefront of building our Wealth Management service. This role is ideal for one who thrives on setting and achieving ambitious goals. You'll be a trendsetter in the space, constantly innovating your approach to showcase our comprehensive, one-on-one fintech family office experience.
About the Role
As a Lead Advisor for our Client Acquisition Wealth Management team, you will be focused entirely on bringing brand-new high-net-worth clients ($500K+) into Wealthsimple. Make no mistake about it, this is not a traditional Advisor role! You thrive in a true sales motion — seeking out new prospects, telling a compelling story, and turning conversations into committed clients. Building these HNW networks and fostering deep COI relationships makes you tick. Evolving and modernizing traditional processes and systems excites you. You’re driven to land big wins, and support our growing client base across Canada to achieve financial freedom!
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Expand and run your pre-existing pipeline of external prospects and COIs, generating significant upside for you and Wealthsimple
- Create human-first sourcing strategies to acquire and anchor new clients, with the potential to close $50M+ in new assets annually, before handing over to our internal Wealth Advisory team
- Evolve our systems, processes and culture in Wealth Management, creating an innovative, world-class client experience
- Be the face of Wealthsimple at events, in your network, and in-market
What you'll bring:
- You’ve been a top performer in a similar role, consistently beating your targets
- Investment expertise with regulatory experience: You hold a CFA (preferred) or CIM designation and have at least 2 years of experience in a CIRO or OSC regulated role, with deep knowledge of markets and investment solutions.
- A deep, diverse client book with existing COI relationships and networks that generate real opportunities
- You’re resilient — the ups and downs of prospecting energize you, and you thrive in a variable-comp environment with uncapped upside
- You’re a natural connector who loves meeting people, hosting and attending events, and turning conversations into clients
- You excel at communication and collaboration, working effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- A strong understanding of the High Net Worth market and the ability to articulate our unique selling points
Compensation & Equity
🤑 Base salary range: For this role, candidates located in Canada can expect a base salary range of CAD $116,000 - $145,000. Actual compensation is determined based on skills, experience, and role level. Exceptional candidates may be considered above the top of the range, and pay can increase quickly for those who make a big impact in the role.
🚀 Total compensation: In addition to base salary, this role includes equity compensation. We use clear job levels and market-based salary bands to ensure compensation is fair and consistent across the company.
